In 2007 I wrote my first line of <html> on the now deceased blog builder, piczo. Since then, I've gained over a decade of experience facilitating creative projects of all shapes and sizes, and have worked at every stage of development. During this time I also got busy – I actively worked to improve my creative problem-solving, attention to detail, and project management skills.
Now I'm a full-time web developer and I am constantly striving to build responsive and polished products. I am quick to learn new technologies and explore new trends, and am always eager to grow my toolbox. With expertise in design, UX strategy, front-end languages and frameworks, my work is characterized by strong aesthetics, engaging interfaces, and performance-optimized code.
When I'm not busy working on web-related projects I like to spend my time drawing, knitting, reading fantasy novels or bird watching.
From art to tech, and everything in between.
Mastering every stage of project developement.
Developing user-friendly solutions.
As the Webmaster, I manage the live site and support organization initiatives, including fundraising campaigns and publications. In this example, I created custom code for an alert banner and pop-up to increase engagement and conversions with the recent campaign. This is ongoing.
This was a client project that focused on enhancing the brand identity of Otherwise Studios, an inclusive makers space located in Guelph, Ontario. It evolved to include updating digital and print assets.
As the capstone project for the Prepr micro-credential, this project challenged me to take on the role of a creative lead to design a logo, landing page, social media strategy, and an email campaign.
